High thermal conductivity

The thermal conductivity of aluminium is 237 W/(m·K), second only to that of copper (401 W/(m·K)), but its density is only one-third that of copper and its cost is lower. In commercial air conditioners, aluminum foil fins combined with copper tubes form highly efficient heat exchange units, significantly enhancing the cooling/heating efficiency.

Lightweight and corrosion resistance

Aluminum foil has a low density (2.7g /cm³), which can reduce the weight of heat exchangers and lower installation and transportation costs.

Through surface treatment (such as hydrophilic coating and anti-corrosion coating), the corrosion resistance of aluminum foil is enhanced by more than five times, making it suitable for harsh environments like high humidity and salt spray, and extending its service life.

Excellent processing performance

Aluminum foil has high plasticity and is easy to be stamped into complex fin structures (such as corrugated type, louver type), increasing the heat exchange area. For instance, in a high-end hotel project, three-dimensional heat pipe heat exchangers were adopted. After optimizing the spacing of the aluminum foil fins, the heat exchange efficiency was increased by 75%.
