High thermal conductivity
The thermal conductivity of aluminium is 237 W/(m·K), second only to copper, but its density is only one third of that of copper. In the air conditioning system of a computer room, aluminum foil fins combined with copper tubes form a heat exchanger, which can quickly transfer the indoor heat to the cooling medium (such as refrigerant or cooling water), significantly enhancing the cooling efficiency. For instance, the actual measurement of a certain data center project shows that after adopting aluminum foil heat exchangers, the energy efficiency ratio (EER) of the air conditioning system has increased by 15%, and a single cabinet can save 800kWh of electricity annually.
Lightweight and corrosion resistance
